        There are many ways of getting fit for Brazilian jiu jitsu tournaments, and one of these ways is to get into a mock tournament with people you are not used to fighting. It is one thing to get used to fighting but you may be getting overconfident if you are always fighting people you are used to fighting. You are already used to their skills and they are predictable. If you practice a lot, you will need a lot of calories. Do not forget the vitamins and supplements. All these should be cleared by your nutritionist. Do not forget your water; you need a lot of to condition your body for Brazilian jiu jitsu tournaments.

 Exercises are a natural part of such tournaments and you need to be well prepared. Fitness and strength go hand in hand. You need to have strong bones and muscles and this can be attained by resistance training exercises. Weight lifting and running are some of the basics and if you are looking to strengthen a particular part of the body, you need to concentrate on this part. Here, you will need the advice of a fitness specialist in your gym.  jiu jutsu needs training as well, so do not forget to enter into real life matches with opponents you have not met to  test your strength in jiu jitsu and to become fit in all aspects of the training.
